When I first formed Northern Groundcare Ltd over twenty years ago, I could only dream of how it would grow. But like any plant, tree or in fact business, it is the hard work, the persistence, the resilience, the teamwork, and the nurturing of the business that’s has helped bring that little acorn and dream to reality.
Northern Groundcare business focus has purely been on business to business services providing Fencing and Landscaping solutions to the multitude of clients throughout the region. These business opportunities and projects have helped Northern Groundcare Ltd build solid and lasting relationships with many blue-chip clients.
Over the years our workforce of “one”, has grown in size to provide direct employment for over “Eighty” local people, providing an infrastructure of over supplying multi location sites, maintenance and dedicated customer care teams, and all backed by a strong commercial and production management structure.
Quality and service is always at front of our aims to our clients, and the commitment to our staff and workforce through constant training, development and quality standards ensures to all clients that Northern Groundcare are capable in delivering the services they expect.

Our commercial department is equipped to provide a solution to your tenders and projects, offering valued engineering where possible, to enable the best cost and service proposal.
With over 56 man- years of experience in the department, we have the expertise to offer and assist with varied project pricing and solutions package.
In many cases our advice and experience has helped many of our client’s win contracts and operate at the best possible pricing structure.
While tenders and quotations may be one of the major parts of the Commercial department function. It also supports our Production department with all the purchase of materials that go into building your projects.
Due to our long-term trading agreements and our buying power with our suppliers, it allows us to ensure that our tender pricing remains competitive through materials.
We ensure that the products used are responsibly sourced and where possible are from sustainable sources.
Typically, our weekly supplier’s shopping list of main materials into our operational yard at Dinnington, feeding our production teams is:
- 3 to 4 Articulated lorries of Timber (Sustainable Sourced)
- 29 Tons of Post Mix
- 1 Articulated lorry of Plants – 40 Cubic metres
- Between 3000 – 5000 SQ M of turf – Delivered directly to site

To ensure that our 32 Site teams deliver both the service and quality to our clients, we have dedicated Senior Contract Manager, Contract managers and Site Production Coordinator who all have extensive production and site relationship experience to ensure our teams deliver your project on time.
We are accredited company for organisations such CHAS Premium Plus, SMAS, Construction Line, CQMS, SSIP Acclaim
All our operatives meet all Construction Industry requirements (CSCS) for the type of work undertaken by Northern Groundcare Ltd.
We continually train and retrain our work force to ensure the best practices are always used. Our site equipment is always of the best standard and fit for purpose.
Our fleet of vehicles carry company livery and are no older than three years, ensuring the best environmental and efficiency advantages can be gained.
Each vehicle is tracked and carries dashcam for safety purposes, however, our unique vehicle track system allows clear communications to our clients site managers of the pending arrival and site attendance where required.
Our Production teams will continually achieve on a weekly basis.
Fencing – 23 teams – over 3 km of constructed on site fencing per week
Landscaping – 7 teams – Over 3000 to 5000 SQ M of turf laid along with extensive planting schemes on site per week.
Maintenance – 2 teams – Where required by our clients, these two teams ensure that your sites, show homes and stock plots are always presentable to maximise your sales.
Working with your build programme, site managers and contracts managers, our production team is equipped to meet the most demanding site programme.
